World Book Day: Shelfie Quiz Number 2 ...

Thanks to everyone who had a go at our first shelfie quiz yesterday. The results were impressive, and you can find out the answers below. But first, today's quiz, which features teachers from the Modern Languages, Science and ICT department. So - you tell us: which teachers arrange their books by colour? Who's working their way through this year's Booker Prize Winner Prophet Song? Meanwhile, here are the answers to yesterday's quiz.

Although shelfie number 1 covers a fantastically eclectic range of reading - from Evelyn Waugh to Alfred Wainwright, Iris Murdoch to Murakami - many of you saw the books about London and promptly concluded this must be a Geography teacher. But you were wrong - 

It was Mr Allon's - and an impressive 38% of you correctly identified it.  The ornament on Shelfie number 2 puzzled several of you ('green poo emoji?'). It's a Christmas tree (of course), and that, along with Spirit of Place, and yes, more books about London, prompted many of you to guess Geography again - 

And this time you were right: it's Mr Poynter's, as approximately 29% of you correctly deduced.  Shelfie Number 3, with its array of erudite tomes, from Ackroyd to Eco and Pushkin to Peston, was undoubtedly impressive, and, as 41 % of you correctly guessed - 

- it belonged to Mr Fagan.  Shelfie number 4, with its brightly coloured spines, and focus on a fabulously wide-range of subjects, including factfulness, feminism, maths (and rowing)  also had a high recognition rate ('I know this one!'). It belonged, of course, to - 

- Miss French, as a mighty 54% of you spotted (our highest recognition rate of the day: bravo!).  

Our penultimate offering, and first ever audiobook-shelfie, confused a lot of you: Bernie Madoff? the AI Revolution? Supercommunicators?? Whose could this be??? It produced the most evenly distributed spread of guesses of all, but in the end, a narrow majority of you identified this one correctly: it belongs to - 

- Mr Isaac.  Our final shelfie had the second highest identification rate of the day. With its massive haul of history books, some Vaclav Havel, immaculately arranged Penguins and a sprinkling of Christmas lights top left, this bookshelf had to belong to - 

Miss Milanova, as a mighty 43% of you predicted.  So Quiz 1 was a clear success: 6 shelfies correctly matched to their owners by the majority of Pauline voters.  Will today's quiz be as easy?
